Information on the registration procedure
Dear fellow athletes!
In accordance with the Ministry of Rural Development's Decree No. 98/2013 (X. 24.) on the breeding of purebred dogs and Decree No. 62/2016 (IX.16.) on the determination of the range of Hungarian dog breeds and the regulation of their genetic preservation, the Breeding Council has amended the Breeding Program. The provisions of this program apply to all puli breeders registered in Hungary with a kennel name and permanent residence, who seek pedigree registration recognized by the FCI. (Detailed regulations can be found in the Club's Breeding Program.)
A puli breed's pedigree registration is carried out by the Hungária Puli Klub, which is recognized as an official breeding organization.
Based on the Pedigree Registration Regulations that came into effect on January 1, 2017, the process for pedigree registration is as follows:
After the mating has taken place, the owner of the stud dog must fill out the Mating Certificate in two copies (downloadable from the Club's website), one of which must be given to the owner of the female dog, and one copy remains with the owner of the stud dog.
Based on the Breeding Council's Resolution No. 1/2015, puli litters born after July 15, 2015, must be reported by the time the puppies are 15 days old using the currently used Litter Registration Form or online. Litter Registration (15 days).
Before pedigree registration, the breeder must have the puppies microchipped at 6 weeks of age by a veterinarian of their choice (the certificate of microchip insertion can be downloaded for free from the Club's website) and registered in the pet registry system maintained by the Hungarian Veterinary Chamber.
A mikrochipek behelyezése után kérjük, hogy minél előbb küldje meg postai úton vagy e-mailben After the microchips have been inserted, please send the following documents to the person responsible for pedigree registration administration as soon as possible, either by mail or email:
1. Microchip insertion certificate
2. Litter declaration ticket
3. Betting ticket
4. Copies of both sides of the parents' pedigree certificate
5. Breed inspection certificate for parents
6. Proof of exhibition and work results, which can be shown to parents
7. KKennel name certificate
7. A copy of the receipt of payment of the fees calculated on the basis of the Hungária Puli Klub price list
8. a document certifying the result of the hip joint dp. screening for animals to be bred after 1 January 2014
In the normal procedure, the litter can be registered for 6 months after birth, after which time a DNA pedigree test must be carried out to confirm the identity of the parents.
The registration can only be started if all the requested documents are available and the breeder has paid all the service fees to the Club in advance.
Once all the administrative and payment obligations have been fulfilled towards the Club, the person in charge of the administration of the pedigree registration will start the registration and issue the Pedigree Certificates, which will be sent to the breeder immediately after their completion.
If the Litter Declaration Ticket is incomplete, or any of the documents listed are missing, a notice of error will be issued within 15 days of receipt of the Litter Declaration Ticket. The register of faults will be sent to the breeder by the person responsible for the administration of the herd-book in written or electronic form. The breeder shall be given one opportunity to rectify the deficiencies, but if the deficiencies are not rectified within 30 days of receipt of the list of faults, registration shall be refused.
The Club may, at the discretion of the Breeding Manager, in consultation with the Breeding Council, carry out random litter and breeding site inspections with the involvement of Breeding Council Members/Breeding Inspectors.
The designated Breeding Board Member/Supervisor must visit the litter no later than the date of receipt of the Certificate of Parentage, and in any case after the date of microchipping by the veterinarian, so that all puppies receiving a Certificate of Parentage can be identified.
A record of the litter visit is drawn up (Annex 6), including all the breeding events related to the birth of the litter. All questions and details in the record must be answered and comments may be made by both the Breeding Council Member/Supervisor and the Breeder, and signed by them to certify their accuracy. During the litter visit, the breeder must ensure that the Breeding Council Member/Annimal Inspector has the opportunity to inspect the dam and all puppies for which a Certificate of Provenance has been requested.
It is the breeder's duty to check the pedigree certificates after receiving them, to check the data and to ask for corrections in case of deficiencies.
After the sale of puppies, we strongly remind the breeder to register the change of ownership of the puppy in the Club's database by sending a document (Certificate of Change of Ownership Form) to the breeding manager or the person authorised by the Club.
Important: According to the new Breeding Rules, a total of 9 litters can be registered in one breeding in one calendar year!
